A very limited level of service operating to Tallaght, Ballyfermot, Howth, Malahide, ballymun, Finglas,

A passenger slipped and fell when leaving a train on the northbound platform at Tara Street which delayed matters

A fault with the level crossing at Lansdowne Rd added more delays

Update 18:50

The vast majority of Bus Éireann services around the country are operating as per normal with some delays and diversions in affected areas. My experience for journey from Lansdowne Road to Maynooth.

Got DART around 15.48 which got to Connolly shortly after 16.00.

Platform 7 was packed.

Sligo train still there so ran to catch it but missed it but there was around 6 or so people trying to get on but no reopening doors.

So back around to platform 7 for Maynooth train. I stood near top of platform since all train suppose to stop at top of platforms but train stopped just after half way.

Most of us squashed on but left a few behind.

Arrived into Maynooth around 1700. Not to bad in the grand scheme of things.

The Sligo train was only half full. Maybe IR could have made an announcement on platform 7 that a train to Maynooth was leaving 2 to easy numbers on commuter route.

I would suggest maybe if the Sligo train made a stop in Coolmine or Clonsilla to easy the load on commuters trains.

Yes, I arrived at Lansdowne Road at 16.40 approx. trying to beat the delays. There were issues with the level crossing, but no information to passengers on same. My Northbound DART sat just south of the platform for about 15 mins. We eventually arrived into Pearse st at 17.15, having to wait for a clear platform.
There were no announcements for the next 20 mins about the incident at Tara st, and also no information about the delayed 17.13 to Dundalk, until it pulled in.
We sat at the platform till just after 18.00. The driver never made a single announcement.
We eventually left 1 hour late, but then were delayed at Tara st and from Connolly to Howth Junction.
It was scheduled to arrive into Dundalk at 18.37, but will not arrive till after 20.00, nearly 1 and 1/2 hours late. Nothing on the Irish Rail website about that delay! The next service into Dundalk was scheduled to arrive 19.28, but is over 1 hour late.

Oh and yes, there were 30 minute delays inbound this morning...

Also is there any reason that since the cold spell started that there is no automated announcements on Intercity services and the train destination is not displayed on the outside. I have travel on trains 4 times this week and there has being none of the above.

I wonder if these are sacrificed to maintain saloon temperature in the event of one of the engines failing on a 22000 class

On Sunday 18:05 Waterford - Heuston one engine failed in Waterford. By the time we got to Dublin a second went. Although the driver made one announcement because of a delay.

I was in the carriage with the failed engine in Waterford and it was like being been in the North Pole. Normally when an engine failles there is a small amount of heat from the other cars but that night there was just cold air blowing from the air con. Power sockets were working under tables as I charged my laptop.

DART disruption has reduced, but still some trains very much out of position.

Some Maynooth Line, Northern Line and Enterprise services 30 minutes late.
