Arrow The weird barcode on the IE site - worth figuring out before midnight Friday 6th

Try to make sense of the barcode here
https://www.irishrail.ie/home/

If you have a recent camera/smart phone it should be able to tell you what it means, if it can't install an application to read QR codes and try again. If it decodes it will tell you what you have to do, and its worth it!!

Obviously we ain't going to allow you to cheat

And it does work, its was a little confused earlier

Worked for me on the iPhone with the (free) QuickMark Lite app. Enjoy!

Mark, are IE planning to send e-tickets direct to your phone in the near future? I've seen it on the Heathrow Express, but wouldn't have put it top of IE's list of priorities/capabilities.

E ticketing has been mentioned though the format is unknown.

We are expecting a signifcant revision to the IE website in the next year.
