Dunsany More Photos

This page contains a number of photographs of the new sewer main installed under the Clonsilla Navan Railway alignment either side of Dunsany Bridge. These manholes and sewer pipe beneath will require removal at considerable expense if the line is reopened. This could all have been avoided if Meath County Council had protected the railway alignment in line with the adopted Meath County Council Development Plan 2000.

This photograph is taken approximately 200m from Dunsany bridge where the sewer main leaves the alignment. While the alignment was designed to accommodate 2 tracks the embankment in places was only ever filled in to take one track. The track ran on the left side at this location.

This photograph shows the position of the manhole underneath Dunsany Bridge. The manhole is placed just off centre and obstructs the seconds track and causes some difficulties for the provision of just one track.

This is the opposite view of the first photograph looking back towards Dunsany Bridge. There is a manhole in the foreground as well as a discarded piece of sewer pipe.

Once again a manhole slap bang in the middle of the alignment.
