Iarnród Éireann, Rail Gourmet and Midleton Chamber of Commerce are delighted to be involved with the first ever fashion express train from Cork to Midleton on Tuesday 8th September 2009.

The fashion show, which is being run by Illusive Agency and Midleton Boutiques & Businesses, is in Aid of Temple Street Children's Hospital.

Guests can enjoy a pre-departure champagne reception at Kent Station, Cork prior to departing on the Midleton Fashion Express train at 19.15 hrs. This train will also serve Little Island (19.20 hrs) and Carrigtwohill station (19.30 hrs) arriving in Midleton at 19.38 hrs.

On arrival at Midleton station, guests will be transferred directly to the Midleton Park Hotel, where the fashion show is scheduled to commence at 20.00 hrs.

After the fashion show, buses will transfer guests back to Midleton station, to join the 22.45 hrs Midleton to Cork train.

I would have gone along for the laugh if the fashion show was on the train and if the train was an mk4!

Nah, what you need is a Mk3 executive set. I think they did something like that in the 1990s.

I’ve spoken to the lady who is organising the event and asked for more information so we can add it to our calendar of events. As it’s an external fundraiser we do not put it on the website unless asked to do so and in this case we weren’t approached. However, I emailed her when I got your mail and she has agreed to let me pop it up there for her.
