Default Is Intercity operating 26 December

Is Intercity operating 26 December?

They didn't issue a notice on the website saying either way (they did for DART & Commuter).

No trains of any sort today

There is a Christmas timetable available for intercity services in printed form and online it always said except 25/26 December

Crikey Jack....Picture worth a thousand words etc etc ....Sez it all really
Dublin Bus,Iarnrod Eireann,Bus Eireann....Three Divine Entities in the one corporate God.

This God possessed of immense computing and other electronic desktop publishing powers and yet he condemneth his people to seeking out their scribes to transpose their Gods wishes and decisions onto scraps of papyrus to be stuck on the windows of his temples.

Yea verily it doth not efect only the meek and faithful of the steel track and ballast for this angry God`s wrath stretcheth far beyond those temples and reacheth deep into the heart of all earth bound people.

And in the midst of this silence The great CIE God`s city bus parent did bring forth from the manger a new offering and they called it .......84X !!!

And whilst all did bow down deep before it,few knew where it went......including a great number of its drivers....
For altho it was possesseth of such awesome electronic power as could light up the path of righteousness for the sinner and thence display this path on a lighted screen as if a beacon in the night, the great God decided not to put out this information on the screen in a test of his peoples resolve (and Patience).

Thus it came to pass that some of the faithful from the eastern seabord tribes leapt suddenly from their seats as their chariot raced along the N11 highway of the Gods....

"Master ! Master ! they pleaded why have you decided not to bring us to the temple of Charlesland...?"

The charioteer peered down from his lofty perch and with a booming voice pronounced to his cowering flock........"Didjiz not reed de timetable ..ha...diz one duzzent go tuh Charlesland..it goez along the strait....if yiz want to walk i`ll let yiz out here "

Lo were the easties thus cast out amongst the wild and troublesome inhabitants of the Bray corridor to tread wearily upon their dreams whilst the search continued for a new messiah who would be blessed with the knowledge and understanding of how to operate a Laptop and thus programme the words 84X VIA CHARLESLAND or in the opposite sense 84X DIRECT SERVICE..

These words are to found beneath the burning bush at Lord Meath`s Gate and yet no messiah has appeared with the special knowledge and understanding of the Keys of the Laptop...

And so it is writ that the prophet shall wander unappreciated and scorned in his own land at least until the supplies of Crayons and Paper are all used up..

Bue Eireann had their crayons upgraded http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showt...p?t=2055035146 (the map bears little resemblance to reality)

I say kudos the person who bothered to provide a notice

I say shame on you to the station master and other senior managers for lacking the cop on to provide a proper notice, after all you are closed 25/26 Dec every year you can reuse the notice
