Default irishrail.ie -v- iarnrodeireann.ie

As of this morning, both websites seem to be operating as one in a relatively consistant manner, although there is a mix of the green and orange themes.

There has been a very slow transfer of the site to www.irishrail.ie in recent months

Many of the really useful pages are now buried in the system, try finding out how much a monthly ticket in Dublin is for instance isn't easy. The IE website seems to claim the entire 183 coach intercity railcar fleet is in service, only 39 are

There is a curious pattern, when we put up something a few months later Irish Rail do. Our ticketing page http://www.railusers.ie/passenger_info/ticketing.php is the only page anywhere either printed or online to explain the mystery of the intercity extension ticket

Looks like all they've done is redirect a couple of the IE pages to the IR site.
e.g. If, on the IR site, you go to look at the customer charter (helpfully located in the FAQs under 'Refunds'), it points you back to the IE site, and from there most of the menu options still point to the IE site (apart from fares and timetables which point back to IR).
